Positron detection

For the detection of positron particles we use a Geiger-Müller counting tube. The range of positron radiation is limited to less than 1mm and therefore a collimator is not required.

The resolution of the chromatography scan is considerably higher than with gamma detecting scintillation probes, because γ-radiation has a much longer range.

The radioactivity detection does not require any counting gas.

The miniGita β+ scanner is designed for 1 TLC-plate of 50x200mm typically used in single sample quality control. During measurement the scanner is moving continuously from start to front, forward and backward and consequantly the decay over the chromatogramm length for short living nuclides is automatically compensated.

The system price contains scanner, detector and PC-program.
PC has to be supplied locally.
