Software

The miniGita scanner is controlled via a control software running under Windows 98/2000/XP. Detailled evaluation is done using the Gina Star TLC Software.


Performance

The miniGITA‘ s gamma detector is a special designed scintillation probe with a V-shape BGO crystal mounted in Tungsten shielding.
Resolution: raytest provides a wide range of Tungsten collimators to optimize the resolution and sensitivity for any Gamma detection.
Dynamic range: The miniGita provides a dynamic range of more than 4 orders of magnitude and a very good linearity over a wide range.


Detection

miniGITA is a thin layer chromatography scanner with a V-shape BGO crystal detector specially designed for gamma and positron detection: 123I, 125I, 99mTC, 18F, 15O, 11C, 13N ...


Gamma / Positron detection

The crystal is having a 3 x 25 mm entry window and is 25 mm high. Arround the crystal is a shielding of Tungsten with a outside diameter of 70 mm.
Advantages of the Crystal:
  • high sensitivity by BGO crystal scintillation probe and thin window entry.
  • excellent resolution by tungsten collimator and V-shape crystal.
  • low background by tungsten shielding and optimized crystal volume.
  • suitable for radiochemical purity determination.
