AIDA Array Metrix and AIDA Array Compare
are two software packages within the AIDA software family.
- AIDA Array Metrix is designed for the fast and reliable acquisition
of quantitative and qualitative data from all kinds of array experiments
in life science.
- AIDA Array Compare provides data of the comparison of one master
array with client arrays.
Flexibility and Ease of Handling:
AIDA Array Metrix and AIDA Array Compare combine highest flexibility with
AIDA typical ease of use. Three array sublevels with arbitrary spacings
as well as symmetrical and asymmetrical array definition are possible. Any
kind of numbering schemata can be defined. Predefined arrays can be imported
and processed.
Functionality:
A very powerful and fast align algorithm in AIDA Array Metrix is taking
care of optimal positioning of the measurement dots.
A great variety of background subtraction abilities are available
and normalization is performed on a mouse click.
A spotting pattern can be assigned to an array, defining the position
of empty dots, guide dots and double dotted spots. With such a spotting
pattern, mean values and the relative and absolute deviation of mean
values are received in the data table. Defined empty dots can be used
as local or global backgrounds, and the alignment process can optimized
by the spotting pattern. |

Comparison of Arrays:
 |
The comparison of two
arrays in AIDA Array Compare is organized in a simple and efficient
way. The result can be viewed as schematic display, scattered blots
or in data tables. The array images can be displayed overlayed in
look up table colours or side by side in gray scales. All these display
possibilities are interlinked, meaning, that two arrays can be moved
and zoomed simultaneously, and related spots or spot groups can be
highlighted in every display window.
Data in the result tables can be configured and listed in various
ways and are easily exported for further processing. |
