The visual power of microscopy and the statistical rigor of flow cytometry are now combined in a single platform.
What can Multispectral Imaging Flow Cytometry on the ImageStream do for you? The powerful combination of
quantitative image analysis and flow cytometry in a single platform creates exceptional new experimental
capabilities. Measure the amount, location and movement of molecules on, in, or between cells. Measure the
location and co-localization of multiple markers on or in cells. Quantitate morphologically distinct cell
subpopulations. Dramatically expand the depth and range of questions you can ask in a flow environment.
When you analyze your cells on the ImageStream you will see more and know more than you ever thought possible.

The ImageStream system offers the unprecedented combination of quantitative cell imaging and flow cytometry in a single platform.
- High speed, high resolution cell image acquisition
- Up to six simultaneous images of every cell -- brighfield, darkfield and up to four fluorescent images
- Extremely broad range of applications: translocation, apoptosis, colocalization, cell cycle, cell morphology,
gene expression, FISH and many more
Advantages
- Easily measure many cells to describe population structures
- Replace biomarkers with quantitative morphology
- Apply rigorous assays with analytical flexibility
- Get results that are objective and verifiable
- 300 cells/sec and ~20 samples/hour
- Sensitivity better than conventional flow cytometry
- Resolution comparable to Microscopy
- Accurate cell death measurements

ImageStream system upgrades
The ImageStream system can be modified to fit individual user needs or to add powerful
additional functionality. Available upgrades include:
|
Additional lasers
The ImageStream comes standard with a 488nm laser. Up to two additional lasers may be added to increase the
system sensitivity and expand the range of usable fluorescent dyes. Additional laser options include:
Violet Laser, 405nm Catalog No. 200120 Power: 350mW Available factory installed or as a field upgrade. Suitable
for excitation of DAPI, Hoechst dyes, Alexa Fluor 405 or 430, Cascade Blue, Pacific Blue and others. The high power
of this laser allows it to be used with many dyes that would normally require the use of a UV laser.
Red Laser, 658nm Catalog No. 200130 Power: 90mW Available factory installed or as a field upgrade. Suitable for
excitation of Cy5, Cy5.5, Alexa Fluor 647, 660 680 and 700; DRAQ5, PerCP, APC, Mitotracker Deep Red and others.

Extended Depth of Field
Remarkable new optical deconvolution technology allows the ImageStream depth of field to be expanded more
than 5-fold. Enabling such applications as FISH In Suspension (FISHIS®), extended depth of field also markedly
improves many resolution-sensitive applications. |
